There's something that's been bothering me for the past few months whenever it came to mind... The comic pages hardly have any details. No upload date, no credit to creator, no genre info, nothing. I never imagined Cloudflash would become so heavily based on comics. Back when Cloudflash got its first comics, I thought it would just be enough to simply display the comics somehow. They didn't even have comic pages originally... it was just links to the images on that one Comics section page.

Anyhow, I figured it was about time I changed that a bit. For Super yo-yo, Final World Quest, and Cloudflash Mix, I added a bit of text to the top of every comic page. I can edit that in one file to affect all of the pages. I don't know how I ever lived without the PHP "include" function... I currently include credit to the creator, a brief description of the series, and the update schedule/status. I don't think I'll bother putting the upload dates on the pages, though... To comic artists, date your work within the image! Yes, you heard me right. I want you to climb into your monitor somehow and take your work for the best Wham! date of its life.

Well, enough of that. There are new Super yo-yo comics up to #11 as I write this, and Monday's C-Mix, of course. I think I'll have to get around to adding that guy in the striped shirt to the Cloudflash Characters page.

One day you will see sense and let this process be automated.. You must have so much work simply updating the site...

You raise a somewhat valid point... It wasn't really much of a problem with adding new games/movies since new content is rather rare, but comics are another story. Someone I talked to before was suggesting/telling me about a way of doing it that seemed far more efficient and whatnot... I think he was basically saying I should just have one page (maybe one for each comic series) which would load a bunch of variables to tell the page what the comic number, name, keywords, HTML title, etc. is. Those variables would be in a MySQL database, and comics could be added/updated by logging onto some database manager, filling in a few blanks, and browsing for the comic to upload.
A problem with that (and probably other automated systems?) is that our MySQL isn't very reliable... So then browsing comics would be as much of a hassle as browsing the forum on bad days.
