To assist us in pinpointing the source of this issue we ask that you provide us with the results of a "trace route". A trace route shows the path that a connection takes from your computer to a website, or another computer.

If you are using the Windows operating system, follow these steps to get the trace route results:

• From your Start Menu, go to "Programs", then to "Accessories".
• Here you will find either "MS-DOS Prompt" or "Command Prompt".
• Click on that program and a window should appear with some information regarding your version of windows and a prompt. The prompt should be similar to the following:

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\WINDOWS>

At the prompt, enter the following:

tracert cloudflash.net

After typing this press ENTER, you will get back a long list of information, and it will return to the original prompt you started with. To copy the results, right click on the menu bar of this window, go to "Edit" and select "Mark". Starting at the upper left-hand corner of the command prompt window, highlight the full contents of the trace results. Once you have it all highlighted, press the ENTER key on your keyboard. This will put the highlighted information into your Windows clipboard, allowing you to paste that into a text file to attach to your response.

If anyone wants to help with this, we can maybe get Cloudflash fixed sooner. When the site is down or lagging like hell, try doing the above and send it to me in a PM so I can send it to my host's support guys. I do not recommend posting the results in this topic since it reveals information you may not want to fall into the wrong ( /occurrence ) hands.

Even if you point your /embarrassment at me, your effort is futile since I can remove the emoticon anytime.......

You can take the Scubasteve out of the /embarrassment, but you can't take the /embarassment out of the Scubasteve.

Would be very surprised if this would help resolve a server lag problem. This simply will tell them the route that net packets take to reach their servers. The route your packet takes to the tier 2 servers is mostly unimportant. The only info they could realistically gain from this is learn the routing from the tier 2s to their servers which they should already know if they are slightly competent. Most likely they are trying to ascertain if your ISP is using a toxic waste route in or if you are in a country with toxic waste internet so they can blame the problem on you.

I am not a System admin or an expert, but I would be very much surprised if this helps at all.
