I was informed of the lunar eclipse by Skutieos and figured I'd check it out when the time came. I ended up falling asleep a few hours before the eclipse. I woke up after a while, checked my alarm clock to see the time was around 2:30 AM, and remembered I was missing the eclipse! It was a mild winter evening, so I stepped out without putting on a winter jacket. I looked up to the sky and saw the moon was orange-red, though it already passed the center a little and was on its way to ending. It was sorta cloudy out, but I guess I was lucky enough for it not to be blocked. I think this was the first time I'd witnessed such an event. It was interesting to see our familiar, day-to-day moon in a new light. Inspired, I went ahead and made this picture.
